Non-Stop Screen Change with Belt-Type Screen Changer for Continuous Operation
Product Introduction

During production, filter screens can become clogged with contaminants, causing pressure to rise. Traditional screen changes require stopping the line, severely impacting efficiency. This production line is equipped with a belt-type screen changer that allows smooth, rapid screen changes without stopping or slowing the extruder.

By moving the filter belt continuously or stepwise, it achieves "screen change while producing," significantly reducing production interruptions and improving Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE). It is especially suitable for long-running, large-scale production lines.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does product quality suffer during a non-stop screen change?
With normal operation, there is a slight pressure fluctuation during the screen change, but our design (optimized melt channel, pre-fill) keeps the fluctuation within 5%, having minimal impact on product dimensions and appearance. With skilled operation, almost no scrap is generated during the change.
Is the filter belt consumption high?
The length of the filter belt can be customized. When one section becomes clogged, the belt moves to a fresh section. Compared to traditional round filter discs, the belt type has lower overall cost for long continuous production and reduces manual change frequency.
What if the belt breaks unexpectedly?
We have pressure sensors and alarms. If an abnormal pressure drop (indicating screen rupture) is detected, the system will sound an alarm and recommend a shutdown for inspection. A spare filter belt can be quickly replaced. Under normal conditions, belt life can reach hundreds of hours.
